Marquette and Mira

The Mira monitor is an at-home quantitative fertility tracker that measures hormones including estrogen (E3G), luteinizing hormone (LH), progesterone metabolite (PdG), and follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) depending on the test wands used. Unlike traditional “yes/no” fertility tests, Mira provides numeric hormone values, allowing users to see more detailed trends and patterns over time. Results are displayed through the Mira app, which helps visualize hormonal changes throughout the cycle.

While Mira is still under ongoing research and investigation, the Marquette Method does offer provisional guidance for its use. At this time, there are no published effectiveness studies validating Mira-based Marquette protocols, so it is used as an optional and supplemental tool rather than a gold standard.

In certain circumstances, Mira can be especially helpful for gaining deeper insight into hormone fluctuations. It may be beneficial for women with more complex or irregular cycles, those in perimenopause, individuals navigating medical situations such as chemotherapy or medications that require careful cycle awareness, or those working closely with a healthcare provider to better understand their hormonal health. It can also be useful for women who simply want a more detailed view of their cycle patterns beyond traditional monitoring methods.

If you are interested in incorporating Mira into your fertility awareness practice, I invite you to reach out for a consultation so we can thoughtfully determine whether it is a good fit for your individual needs and goals.

Clients of Rooted in Truth NFP also receive a generous discount code for the Mira system.
